23-yr-old girl who went fighting ISIS faces prisonat her home

The 23-year-old Danish girl who went to Syria to fight for the Kurds against ISIS and pro-Assad army 'for human rights for all people' found herself in a trouble as she faces a conviction up to six months for fighting against the extremist group.
Joanna Palani is facing punishment from Copenhagen City court after she violated Denmark's 'foreign fighter' rule, which aims to stop Danes to fight alongside terror groups.
The girl is being tried under the same law though she went to fight against the IS.
Denmark has made such a strict law to strengthen domestic counter-extremism efforts, due to Denmark having one of the largest numbers of foreign fighters in Syria per capita.
Palani had an earlier brush with Denmark's laws for violating travel restriction imposed on her after her passport was confiscated by police and the Danish intelligence service PET.
She received a year travel ban, imposed in September 2015, for fighting with Kurds against ISIS but she violated the restriction when she went to Qatar in June.
Now she is facing a six-month prison sentence for defying this ban and will appear back in court on December 20.
Palani had in an interview with Lara Whyte for Broadly told the horrendous reality she had to face in Syria fighting.

Male names were only introduced in the same year. World Meteorological Organization (WMO) maintains the database of cyclone/hurricane/typhoon names. There are six lists of names used in rotation and they are recycled every six years. The names are picked from this pre-designated l...
